Our practices have the state of the art of equipment including:
Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy (Spectoral Domain Optical Coherence Tomographer): A technology previously only available in hospital settings. The OCT is non-invasive imaging device to take cross-section pictures of the retina and anterior segment. It is often compared to an MRI or CAT scan for the eyes. Like those technologies, this instrument allows us to analyze, under extremely high magnification, crosssections of various parts of the eye. This greatly enhances our ability to diagnose and manage Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Corneal Disease, and most other disorders of the eye.
Wavefront Aberrometer: To digitally quantify all imperfections and refractive errors
Corneal Topographer A digital mapping of the cornea, useful in pre-Lasik consults and specialty contact lens fits
Pachymeter: Ultrasound device to measure thickness of the cornea – useful for monitoring glaucoma, cornea dystrophies and pre-op Lasik
B-scan Ultrasound device to diagnose pathology that cannot be observed with ophthalmoscopy
Specialty RGP and Scleral contact lens fitting sets: For patients who have irregular corneas, post-surgical or dystrophic corneas or for patients whose vision cannot be adequately corrected with spectacles, surgery or off-the-shelf contact lenses
